Ninriki D'arte Presents history of Studio Maryoku & Studio Distrail
When an aircraft passes through a cloud, it leaves a clear path behind it. The term 'dissipation trail' refers to the opposite of a contrail. For us, the goal is to always be disrupting where things appear to be going wrong but leading to new paths and risks we had not anticipated. However, Jamie Clive Boyle noticed a disturbance in the sky and became interested in the studio's name. The mascot, which originated at Studio Maryoku, was reimagined at each studio that Jamie reorganized and established, including Distrail. It is an unidentified, two-footed, hopping rabbit-like creature with no clear purpose.

Jamie Clive Boyle is a British animator, director, and producer who began his career at Studio Maryoku His first directorial effort, 'Eternal Horizon,' was released during his final college month, amidst personal difficulties. Jamie co-founded Studio Distrail to reignite his interest in animation, with the goal of perfecting both his craft and the film.
Jamie taught himself traditional animation techniques before co-founding Studio Maryoku in 2019 with Alfie Tanner. He worked with Harry Taylor and Dan Guo to create Eternal Horizon. The film, which also served as Jamie's final major project, received over 150 views in its first month with no promotion and 450+ views when it was re-released. It took two weeks to complete and had more than 400 frames. Studio Maryoku disbanded in 2024.
Faced with personal challenges, Jamie focused on his extended final project, which resulted in the establishment of Studio Distrail. Jamie and Harry pursued reforming their animated works after establishing a foundation in animation. Jamie and Harry founded a marketing and distribution arm to handle the studio films. During a shareholder deadlock, he considered a successor but decided against it and is now looking for a new personal venture in his art.
