Jamie Clive Boyle and Alfie Tanner co-founded Studio Maryoku in 2019. Harry Taylor joined as a producer, quickly expanding the team. The studio produced its first film, Eternal Horizon, which will be distributed by Confessor Releasing. Following the success of 'Eternal Horizon,' we produced five films in the following years. Harry was later promoted to President, representing the studio to the public. Dan Guo spearheads the eternal horizon and showreel of Jamie's work, ensuring the emotional connection that is required. Following the success of Eternal Horizon, the studio produced a slew of works ranging from Days of Our Memories to Free-flowing. The latter of which had an exclusive premiere event at Northbrook College FMP and featured its own display, demonstrating Studio Maryoku and Jamie Clive Boyle's growth.
A new chapter began in late 2024 when the original team reunited, welcoming newcomer Henry Ratcliff. Jamie's discovery of a distrail in the sky inspired a new creative direction. What started as a branded banner for Jamie and Harry soon evolved into Studio Distrail, established as a traditional animation studio. Jamie and Harry establish a distribution arm to oversee their own projects. This resulted in notable re-release and marketing work for titles like 'Free-Flowing,' 'Days of Our Memories,' and 'Eat My Hat.' Studio Distrail Limited was officially formed as a result of its expansion. Alfie led the studio's digital efforts, prompting his return as a core team member.
The subsequent shareholder deadlock led to Harry Taylor's departure. Members were eventually let go, and Jamie Clive Boyle attempted to find a successor, which caused more stress than necessary. Jamie eventually realized that he needed to focus on his own work and drop the two studios venture. Ninriki Limited. has been established, effective immediately, under the ownership of Jamie Clive Boyle, concentrating on his artistic pursuits in animation.
Ideas are generated by writing small plot summaries and rough sketches for Harry and Jamie to approve the film. After that, in planning stages Harry sets the commercial side, while Jamie handles the production. Numerous concept art, storyboards, and backgrounds are prepared for animation.
Jamie and his team begin work by animating each key frame and inbetweening. Jamie and Harry go through the storyboard to see if we need changes to match scenes. The process is time-consuming because each shot must be drawn frame by frame on paper.
All shots are complied in code order, making it easy for the editor to combine them, especially in this case where scores finished production are mixed in with SFX. After the final cut is completed, the marketing team creates trailers and P&A that immerse the audience in the film's concept. Distribution is in charge of producing and presenting to the audience via digital platforms within specific time frames.
